It just goes to show just how half-arsed the entire swords and sorcery genre is when THIS is one of it's best examples. Freddie Jones makes the best of what he's got to work with and there are some memorable scenes, but the showdown with the beast is unbelievably corny. Curiously likeable, despite the obvious technical shortcomings and it does have a great score.

I remember he had one of the best weapon's around. A treat to watch if your a kid. Recalling that it had a light plot and descent screenplay, its neither dull nor was it groundbreaking. Krull is fun if your in the mood for a typical good versus evil type adventure.

This is the king of B-movie sword and sorcery efforts - though that doesn't mean it's any good. Cheesy to the extreme - both effects and dialog - this is fun to watch with a group of people... while drinking heavily.

I wanted to like this movie more but it was just so slow at times. The acting was cheesy and the dialog was terrible. Still, it had many enjoyable parts and if you could get past the bad special effects you may find a gem.
