This is a textbook study of how to create a beautifully emotional scene purely through visual acting. Chaplin creates a charming and very human plot that was way ahead of its time and demonstrates the great silent actor's skill at becoming memorable characters. |

This is definitely one of Chaplin's best movie, for sure. I thought it was excellent. |

Charles Chaplin was one of these cinematic magicians. Every movi I've seen from him is perfect. Maybe some more fun than other, but they're all equaly masterfully done. The kid is now my favorite, because is too tender. I used to switch his movies in my list. Now this one is the highest. |
