Oliver Stone has always been a master of the conspiracy theories and this is his conspiratorial masterpiece. He weaves a collection of characters and ambiguous plot points together to craft an intriguing, albeit probably false, explanation for the JFK assassination. Costner blends into the background next to more bombastic portrayals from Pesci, Oldman, and Bacon.

An appetizing brew of both fact and fallacy, Oliver Stone's 'JFK' is a landmark amongst paranoid political conspiracy thrillers. Clearly channeling Costa-Gavras' 'Z' in terms of both editing and structure, the film is more a testament to the great subjective power of filmmaking and it's potential to instill great catharsis within the individual viewer than it is a sincere exposé of the American government. Note: Director's Cut recommended over original theatrical release.

Purely as a movie it's not that bad. But, it's more than just a movie, unfortunately. It is fodder for stupid and distracting conspiracy theories.

JFK is a film that is as inaccurate as they come but hey it is entertaining in its absurdity.

A very interesting look at the JFK case. I like this movie because it shows how confusing the case really was to the DA just a short time after it happened. Think how confusing it is is now. It also opened up more facts to the real case.
