Strong comic book adaptions don't come along very often, and Iron Man definitely lives up to the hype. Robert Downey Jr, whom I normally don't care for, turns in a strong performance as Tony Stark, the man who becomes Iron Man. A strong supporting cast helps and the ending is set up nicely for a sequel, or sequels. Be sure to stick through the credits as there's a scene with a surprise cameo at the end. A good start to the summer blockbuster season.

This movie has great special effects, a better than expected story line, a little comedy, and you'll never be bored during the movie. One of the hidden gems of 2008, a must see.

No one could have played the Iron Man ( Tony Starks ) better with Robert Downey Jnr at the helm of this classic Marvel Comic. This movie does not let anyone down packed with great action scenes and comedy from start to finish. The Cast is even better for a marvel movie with Gwyneth Paltrow,Terrence Howard and Jeff Bridges. The storyline is better then most marvel movies with Tony Starks not your average superhero but with Robert Downey Jnr how could the character go wrong. If the new Marvel Movie productions keeps giving us movies like this i will be impressed. 3 ½ stars ***

An upgraded suit comparable to RoboCop but not quite as good. This movie is all about the suit - there is little plot development and like Batman Begins, the Super Villain is hardly that. Still, better than many but not Spidy or Batman.
