The puppetry and special effects for the various Gremlin creatures look great. But the slapstick gets grating after a while. There's one Gremlin who gets smart and talks with a snooty accent, that's kind of funny. Christopher Lee is in this for some reason and he sometimes gets some laughs. But the movie isn't as dark or nasty as it could had been. Probably the most interesting character is John Glover as this eccentric millionaire. The anti-consumerism message is more in your face than the last movie.

Way too campy for me - loses the fear and replaces it with general wackiness - a smart gremlin, a flying one, a female one - what else can we think of? I get self-parody, but this leans too far in that direction. Too fun - not enough scares.

Sequel that out crazies the first and even parodies it. It's a goofy farce that fans of Gremlins will find fun.

This film lives up to the general fun and campiness of the first film by being sillier, bigger, and more borderline parodic of creature horror films. There are more gremlins this time, including ones who can fly and speak, and that just makes the film more of a raucous good time.

A riot. It is not at all scary like the first one. There are flying ones, lightning charged ones, smart ones, dumb ones, 8 legged ones and even a hot female gremlin. Not even close to the first one but good nevertheless.
