"So. Now. In keeping with the WZRB policy, presenting the most immediate and complete reports of local blood and guts, TV-30 presents what is believed to be a television first. In living color, an exclusive coverage of an attempted suicide." This might be one of my favorite performances from Rebecca Hall. Freaking disturbing and sad.

The story of Christine Chubbock and her tragic suicide on live television-the first time it ever occurred-is not for the faint of heart or easily distressed. But those curious will indeed still be treated to a strange and not surprisingly sad movie that chronicles the devastating aftermath of depression and mental illness left unchecked. But it is very well made and powerfully acted. At the center is lead actress Rebecca Hall, one of the most under-appreciated actresses working today. She's aloof, guarded, socially awkward, and temperamental. Even when she begins spiraling out of control and her actions become more dangerous to herself and others, it is only because of Rebecca Hall you feel pity for her.
