Possibly good subject but bland movie

A film that fails to truly use what it has, and that is a potentially interesting subject. The idea that man pretends to be jewish to see how he is treated is poteintilly interesting, but the way it is done is rather haphazard. The is only one scene of actual extreme prejudice shown but that is done to the actually Jewish character. Most of the time people just do or same something somewhat anti-semitic and Gregory Peck gives them a stern look and this happends over and over again. May characters are not fully developed in fact all except the lead female, I thought her slight anti jewish sentiments were done better than the rest of the film. Most of it just feels like a lecture and it just does not work, and I think Kazan is a great director.
