It's an undeniably thought-provoking and unsubtle movie about society and anti-semitism.

I really liked this film. For a film made almost 70 years ago, it didn't feel that old to me. Gentleman's Agreement is about antisemitism in NYC; some critics and viewers have argued that the message has not transcended the many decades that separate us from this issue, but I did not feel that way at all. The film and its message felt just as relevant today as it likely was during its own time. The performances are amazing and the script is terrific! I cannot recommend this film enough. Winner of 3 Academy Awards including Best Picture and Best Director.

Not that good. It was preachy as hell and I wouldn't recommend anyone to see it. Yeah performances are great and it is a semi interesting concept but it won because of political reasons (though I can't say what was better in 1947). Skip it.

A little preachy, but overall a great film that deserved Best Picture for tackling the subject matter that it does.
