An assured step forward for the franchise during its early years, the first 007 sequel is just as tightly wound as the astounding first film.

This is more "classic" Bond than the first film in the series. This is really the start of the inventive gadgets, the catchy one-liners, and the memorable villains. The political intrigue and villainy is handled well here. One of the best Bond films.
