I can't bash this movie too much - but then again, I'm also not going to shout about it at the top of any mountains. Typical feel-good fare - this time about a boy and his whale. Unrealistic? Yes. But simple pleasure is still pleasure.

This is an intricate part of my childhood, so it brings me happy, nostalgic feelings. It's a pretty standard film, but I recently rewatched it and the joy and triumph of the third act (the act where they save the whale) is contagious.
