Safelight is a movie about 2 socially disconnected teenagers finding solace amongst each other.
The story picks up well and does remain on track throughout but the lack of direction is pretty evident here.
A physically challenged boy meets a physically exploited girl who is working at truck-stop. He saves her from her lunatic friend and the she saves him from the school bullies. She then decides to drive him across the country so he can take photographs of lighthouse for his competition.
During this journey he tries to mend the girl’s broken relation with her mother and sisters.
The movies just drags on and on and even before half-time you start wishing for the movie to finish.
