What could have been a harmless family film is a crass mean-spirited mess. Will Ferrell keeps getting screwed over. Which I understand is the joke but beyond a point, the supporting cast become jerks for no reason just because Mark Wahlberg shows up. I don't care how handsome or charismatic he is, his role as the deadbeat bad boy makes him less likable. Or perhaps I'm just too square. Also the wife is a complete tool in this. I'd divorce her ASAP if she treated me the same way.

If you are in the mood for a predictable, forgettable but perfectly serviceable comedy - hey, check out Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg butting heads. The laughs for me were few and far between and there weren't nearly enough. But it's also pretty much exactly what I was expecting - no better, no worse.

i was super excieted to see this movie when i first heard of it and really thought it would be fantastic ok well it was pretty good dont get me wrong and i laughed alot no doubt but had it been just a little cleaner it could have been amasing 'making the kids curse was highly un nesesary ' but it was a cute little movie i will be sure to watch agin

Daddy’s Home is 96 minutes of Will Ferrell being an idiot. There's nothing redeeming or anything creativity in this movie.
