Although ominous and plotted with plenty of scary moments, "It Follows" loses you with its developmental scenes by almost boring you to death, and when the movie is finally over, it feels quite unfulfilled.

Beautifully shot and art directed, and the sex-ghouls were effectively creepy, but the premise felt thin and heavy-handed... Basically the same concept as The Ring, but much more obvious and morally simplistic. Also using Detroit as Ruin Porn is starting to feel a bit exploitative.

Wenn du dir den Titel "It Follows" anschaust und nicht weisst, was er zu bedeuten hat, beginnt dieser neue beunruhigende und verdient gefeierte Indie-Horror bereits zu wirken: Der zweite Film von David Robert Mitchell hält uns stets auf Abstand. Es ist eine Geistergeschichte, wobei aber Geister nicht zwangsläufig ihre Opfer verfolgen. It Follows handelt von High School Teens, die Sex haben, wobei ich denke, dass der Film eher das beunruhigende Gefühl, wenn man heranwächst, erforscht. Im Grunde ist es ein Film über die hormonelle Krise, die wir Adoleszenz nennen... mehr auf cinegeek.de

Boring, bland and very overrated. There really isn't anything to this movie. The creature follows people, they die, then it follows other people. The premise is vaguely interesting, but the director doesn't do anything worthwhile with it. I was severely let down by this movie.
