A little boy who lives in a luxurious hotel has no friends and lives a lonely life with his father Robert Grant (Jason Alexander’s "Seinfeld" who is the manager of The Majestic, a large five-star hotel) and brother until a lovable orangutan walks in one day and becomes his new best buddy.
Grant is overworked and wants to take his two boys, on a vacation, but when the owner (Faye Dunnaway) hears that her hotel is being considered for a six star rating, it falls on Grant to ensure that everything is perfect when the rating staff arrives. It's fun to see Faye Dunaway in a comic role. Paul Reubens (Pee-wee Herman) is the crazed animal control official while Rupert Everett plays the snobbish and villainous Lord Rutledge intend on stealing the guests' jewelry.
