At just over an hour, "Dumbo" doesn't use any more time than it needs to tell a powerful animated story.

Disney's Dumbo is a wonderful and yet beautifully executed movie thats filled with emotional scenes that still gets to me today. This is Disney at it's best.

Full of charm, but also has it's share of sad and weird moments. It's odd and contains many memorable characters.

The sequence of the pink elephants haunted my childhood in a whimsical way and, for that reason, I give the film three stars. It really is a fun family film, albeit bearing some good old-fashioned Disney racism (never really picked up on the "ethnicity" of the black crow characters as a youngster.)

My personal favorite when I was younger, this film was made disastrously terrifying when the film takes on very deep, personal fears and translates them into animated animals, possibly to make it less personal. However, the film's messages of the importance of believing in yourself as well as holding close and fighting for your family, are clearly told in truly wonderful ways. A great animated classic.

An enjoyable and fun family film that should actually entertain an entire family, young and old.
