It amounts to little more than candy-colored fluff, but this animated musical based on the popular toy franchise is a lively and delightfully warm venture.

I was amused by all the subtle rave/drug references in this movie, but the songs were TERRIBLE.

I enjoyed this a lot more than I ever expected - much like another movie based on a popular toy (LEGO Movie) also surprised me. Don't be fooled by the overly sweet nature and music - the movie still has a dark edge to it, but not too much for the kids. It will still leave you smiling and is great for a pick-me-up on a bad day.

Dreamworks & 20th Century Fox joined forces for the star studded cartoon musical adventure TROLLS. Sporting beautiful animation and a talented voice cast, it's suitable for children and tolerable for adults. It might prove too noisy and sappy for some older viewers though.

This is what a truly average movie looks and feels like. Just not a great film. I really have nothing more to say than are we really out of ideas that we're creating movies to sell a 20? 30? year old toy?
