I admit to still not having seen the original, but I have to hope it's better than the sequel. The film is lazy - using too many jump scares and a meandering story to try to scare you. I say, "try" because, really, this wasn't scary, pretty much at all. I give it points for at least taking place at an interesting time (WWII, during the London bombings) and having a suitably good atmosphere - but otherwise, not a very impressive "horror" film.
