You would think "precious bodily fluids" would only be funny once, maybe twice, but it got snickers every time and epitomized the absurdity of the whole situation. Is it one of the best comedies ever? It's a smart script, but great comedies call for more than 10 chuckles. It is however, one of the best opening credit sequences ever.

Stanley Kubrick tackled every single genre, and he did so with great gusto. He made scary thrillers, odd science fiction, dramatic dramas, and with this film one of the funniest comedies. Peter Sellers and George C. Scott are hysterical as the leads in the Cold War comedy where comedy only comes with ironies, parodies, and the most important: dry wit. A must see for any movie fan!

A film that rewards patience. It's one of those that gets funnier with each viewing. The comedy isn't in the amount of laughs or jokes, but rather the understanding of the politics of war and the incompetence in which they are handled. However, the antics pile up over the running time and we get a very funny send off.

There was absolutely nothing funny about this supposed comedy.

The fact that this movie is as funny today as it was in 1964 is testament to its status as one of the greatest comedies of all time. I have no doubt that Dr. Strangelove will still hold its own 20 or 30 years from now when the next generation is left scratching its head wondering what was ever considered funny about Southpark. Kubrick manages the perfect marriage of intelligence, satire, and slapstick comedy. Don't miss this one - even if you are weary of the so called "classics."

The perfect blend of intelligence and entertainment. A flawless movie that gets better with every new viewing and features great directing and exceptional acting including the three best performances of Peter Seller's career.

The darkest of all dark comedies. This is Kubrick's opus (sorry 2001 fans). Great acting by everyone and the best final seen of all time, Slim Pickens riding the H-bomb to his death. Hilarious.

Unfortunately, this is one movie I dislike. I didn't think anything was funny about it, didn't laugh once, didn't get it. Oh well.

Can I dare to say that even being a Kubrick film, the leading actor takes all the applauses? I dare. I'm going to. Peter Sellers does what it's one of the best jobs an actor made ever. He was unique. Also is this piece of filmmaking. Always on the desk, the movie gets fun of that insanity called "War".

You want a dark comedy - here's the king of the hill. An amazing cast (with three brillaint performances from Peter Sellers) makes this one of my favorite Kubrick films - plus it gave us the iconic image of Slim Pickins riding a bomb.
