Wonderfully sleazy crime drama about an undercover cop tasked with infiltrating a drug trafficking syndicate. Laurence Fishburne is good as the principled yet conflicted antihero trying to uphold the law but is often forced to break the law in the worst way. Jeff Goldblum is terrific as a smart but sinister drug dealer. There's a lot of fun performances in the supporting cast.

Intelligent, intense and well-acted undercover cop drama with Jeff Goldblum playing nicely against type as a psychotic yuppie and Laurence Fishburne suitably tortured as the cop seduced by his lavish life of crime.
