This zombie flick was so pointless. Horrendous performances, soundtrack, direction and screenplay. It was like watching a video game and rock video rolled into one. From the very beginning it was not engaging and the characters were unlikable. Ving Rhames was not given a lengthy role and Mena Suvari doesn't look tough in her character. The rest of the cast was forgettable. Dawn of the Dead is way better than this horror flick. Day of the Dead failed to deliver in all aspects. |

I'm embarrassed to admit I even watched this obvious attempt to cash in on the zombie craze. Everything is bad here: acting, story, effects, characters, dialogue, editing... I have a soft spot for zombie films, but even I hated this. |

A fast paced zombie action movie that is in no way reminiscent of George Romero's 'Day of the Dead'. It's not terrible, but you'd be better off not seeing it. |

The standard zombie treatment in this noisy, pumped-up horror clone of George A. Romero's 1985 film of the same name. Once the zombies begin to emerge, there's little more than splattering gore on the screen and the attempts at suspense are thwarted at every turn by loud pounding music and writhing bloodthirsty faces. For some, being left breathless by non-stop chases and monsters that won't quit is all that is required; I however, like to have a little time to build up the scares before I see the monsters. Final Grade: C |
