Anti-drug messages in films tend to put a spin on things, but this documentary pulls no punches. Chris Herren's addictions nearly cost him everything - but he managed to overcome it - and works as a motivational speaker where he speaks the truth - scary truth - about where drug abuse landed him. An unflinching tale of destitution and redemption.
