The first five minutes of the film are as good as it gets. It is what it is, a generic horror movie, no worse than much of the stuff we have pumped out today (Insidious, Paranormal Activity, etc...)

This is a tricky one to rate. Basically, it's garbage. But at the same time, it didn't bore me because it's not pretentious and at just over 70 mins, it's mercifully short. It has literally no plot to speak of and the dialogue is lame and repetititive; it feels like a po-faced and lesser episode of the X-Files, but it's reasonably well shot. In the end, a sense of humour would've helped immensely. Inoffensive rubbish.

There's horror, there's so-bad-it's-good horror, comedy-horror and then Darkness Falls just plain bad horror. It's like the film was made by a person who watched a lot of horror films, then tried to copy them, but only the obvious and dull parts. You can find better uses for your time.
