You would be mistaken if you somehow thought Van Damme starred as an ass-kicking cyborg similar to his role in Universal Soldier. This time, the damsel in distress is the cyborg. Van Damme chases and fights some extremely sadistic futuristic gang who horrible murder a woman's whole family in front of her. Of course they have a justified death coming at the fists and feet of Van Damme, who delivers just what is called for.

Another inept action flick from JCVD, this time with a hopelessly dimwitted and cliched sci-fi spin. Cheap and stupid.

I am a total B movie dork so I love this movie. It may be my favorite Van Damme movie and that is saying something. Its a post apocalyptic movie about saving the remnants of humanity. It has great fight scenes and a fun plot, if not overly deep. If you need fancy special effects and deep dialogue you'll hate this, if you want a fun movie and are open to B movies give it a try.
