What looks like nothing more than disposable sex appeal is actually a richly drawn inside view of an industry that's much deeper and more complicated than that.

It sounds strange me liking this movie but I did.

I was expecting a Pretty Woman where the guy is saved by the girl. It is kind of that but more of a dark and grittier version of it. The only problem is the Pretty (Wo)Man story doen't need to be gritty and dark. Over all the characters are likable and the story is good but the end got a little dark for me. Over all it has plenty of eye candy for the ladies and not quite enough story for the guys.

All downhill once you've seen Olivia Munn topless.

Just to see Channing Tatum strip, it's worth the watch! he's always nice to look at! Other than that, the choreographies were nicely done and the show they presented on stage would have been really nice to see in person. didn't expect him to be such a good dancer.. the story is light, but ok, it works.. thought that the feelings between him and the Kids sister wasn't justified enough, i couldn't feel it. they should have used more time in showing us what he saw in her that made him like her so much.. but an ok movie :) and the stripping!!

Though it's marketed as a movie full of eye candy for women, you know that Steven Soderbergh is going to make more than a pure fluff film. The story, one of survival in the world of male stripping, is interesting and the characters likable and deep. Channing Tatum's acting chops have really grown and it's probably that his real-life past with stripping allows him to portray his most nuanced and believable character to date. Soderbergh injects the film with a fair amount of humor, but knows how to produce weighty emotional scenes when needed.
