Not a bad little thriller, with a crappy ending i might say. If you like crime shows much like Criminal Minds etc. you should enjoy this. In my opinion the film had a huge build up backed by good performances from both Worthington and Chastain only to fall short around the final round. Sam worthington and Jeffrey Dean Morgan portray police detectives Sounder and Heigh who join forces to try and figure out and capture a killer who has been dumping his vics in what is called the killing fields (The killing fields are the fields that surround the Texas oil fields) Most of the vics are young girls which makes their killer extra creepy. Not bad however i have seen better.

Series of homicides and murders bring a detective and a cop to work together and solve the mystery of these killings in the fields of Texas. *** After seeing The Debt, I looked forward seeing Sam Worthington and Jessica Chastain on a drama, but obviously, this movie landed inferior to most crime drama produced recently. I know this is based, or at least "inspired by" a true story, but I should say, the story isn't good or essential enough to work well on the screen. If anything could save this film, it would probably more on Chloe Moretz and the rest of the characters who deserve more screen time than the women, the suspects, and etc of that haunted town. This movie is kinda wasted.
