Easily the worst of the Scary Movie films. Zucker's brand of slapstick humor just doesn't work and the main horror film parodied (Mama) wasn't that good to begin with. Also, they feel the need to throw in Black Swan, Inception and Rise of the Planet of the Apes for some reason. Save your brain cells and watch A Haunted House instead.

This movie is so bad it makes scary movie 4 look like a good movie. This movie is just playing bad, I mean this movie was painful to watch.

one of the worst movies ive ever seen, which is a shame as the first one is one of my favourite comedies but this film is truely awful

Not as bad as the works of Seltzer and Friedberg - mainly due to the involvement of veteran parodist David Zucker - Scary Movie 5 is still fatuous drivel with a sense of humour British sex comedies would tut at. I'd give it a one out of four if not for the fact that I thought Simon Rex, who had roles in the previous two films, elevated proceedings with his wonderful comedic timing. Still, it's better than Scary Movie 2.
