This is an exciting and thorough adaptation of the famous book, expanding on all the novel's most interesting parts with thrilling action scenes and tense confrontations. Jim Caviezel anchors the film with an impassioned and tortured portrayal of a man on a revenge quest.

This movie was very fun, though not up to par with the novel (which is my favorite book that I've read up to now). The acting was top notch on the part of Richard Harris and James Caviezel. There was certainly something lacking in the performance by Guy Pearce (who, after seeing "The Time Machine" I felt like I should ask for my money back every single time he entered the screen). A great, cool, sexy action-packed thrill-ride, I recommend this movie highly.

Cool flick, but full of already seen stuff. It doesnt add anything new to the history of filmmaking. Is a good adapation, good version and entertains enough. That's it.

The cast was a great choice for this movie. It really allows people like Guy Pearce, and Louis Guzman show that they can be very different types of characters. After the movie Memento there were a lot of people that were surprised to see that Guy Pearce could play such a different role. I was glad to see Richard Harris in this movie as his talents were lesser known to my generation before Harry Potter, and to see him playing such as dramatic role really gave him a different character for people to see him portray something other than Dumbledore. This is one of my favorite films.

A surprisingly good adaptation that portrays both characters well. Although I have never read the book, I know the story. It is well directed, paced, and shot. Pearce and Caviezel do well together on screen. Adventure fans will enjoy it!
