A thoughtful drama with sci-fi elements - the film doesn't use action or special effects to get its point across - words and images serve that purpose instead. You have to get into the story, but once you're hooked, it offers an intriguing premise, an one that makes you think about how one small action can have a radical impact on your life.

I really enjoyed Another Earth. The handheld camera work was beautiful without being jarring, and the long, slow thoughtful shots were enchanting. I loved the fact that there was SO little dialogue and pretty much no exposition, leaving us as viewers to make our own links and find our own conclusions. My heart went out to Rhoda, watching her get deeper and deeper into a situation and not being sure how to do the right thing. Very intriguing ending too.

Better than Melancolia because it was shorter and made more sense. Not too much of a sci fi movie, but had a few very cool/shocking scenes. Acting is superb and I really liked the story. A drama wrapped up in a tight sci fi movie. Squeaks into my current top 10 for 2011 but nothing amazing. Solid.

In time when "Earth 2" has just discovered, people wanted to discover more about this another Earth. A woman fascinated with planets dreams of stepping on the newly discovered planet, but a tragic accident shakes her thoughts. *** The film is really intriguing. The story, for me, ran smoothly. I love the combination of science fiction, drama, and romance in here. The actors also delivered well. At first, I was having thoughts of not continuing seeing the movie, but suddenly, it caught me. I love the idea, the concept, and all the thoughts in this film. Unique and exceptional.

An artful independent drama focused specifically on two character's emotional strife. The concept of 'Earth 2' is highly intriguing and offers up many questions and ideas that are left open for the viewer to explore. These two central parts of the film come together in a somewhat surprising and satisfactory ending.

After seeing the trailer, I was really intrigued. I love the idea of multiple earths and another you out there. Overall the movie was more about a tragedy, a woman coming to terms with what she had done, and building a her bond with the person she hurt the most. The 2nd earth became more of a back story until the last part of the movie. I was hoping to see more of the 2nd earth but realized it wasn't going to happen. The last scene surprised me and raised more questions. I wish the movie was about 15 minutes longer. But that may have ruined it. Sometimes a little mystery is what a film needs. Making you think about what you have seen. I only wish I knew someone who has seen this so we could discuss.
