It's a creative adaptation, but when it comes to its genre and tone, "Dark Shadows" is very confused.

Johnny depp in a Tim Burton movie well nothing new here.Tim Burton's dark shadows. so after watching the movie I felt I was in Tin Burton land you know everything is dark and weird.the movie was just not that funny some parts in the movie was kind of funny and that's it.

A vampire trapped in a coffin escapes by accident and returns to his family 200 years later. Some kind of culture shock.... The witch who trapped him is still around trying to destroy the family entirely. The cool reaction of how things changed can only be played by Johnny Depp. This is a must see movie. Fun, excitement, not too much blood so a real family movie.

eva green is fantastic as the witch. depp is as likebale as ever as a vampire. but the movie had a very basic script where not much happened. and wasn't funny at all. its the adams family meets death becomes her meets interview with a vampire. but not half as good as any of those three. shame.

Er... It was okay. Music was awesome, cinematography and design superb, but the characters were sooo cold. I didn't care for any of them. In my opinion, that is the most awful thing that can happen, that you do not care not a bit for what will happen to them. Some scenes and dialogues were funny, true, but the laugh was rather contrived, because we were supposed to chuckle, but no real emotions were involved. I am disappointed :-(

A lot of the good stuff in this movie is shown in the trailers. The rest of it is kinda uneventful. But, it's still funny.
