Weaker than the other two installments, but "Battle of he Five Armies" is still an entertaining send off.

Finally it´s over!! While it was better than the second one, it is still a bad one. The dialogues are bad, the monsters are bad, the story is bad. the only things worthy are Thorin, Bilbo and the dwarf with the Scottish accent lol And I am still mad about Strider´s mention, there was no need of that!

From the opening sequence it was a full throttle thrill to behold. Jackson goes all in and in my view , successfully ends on a rousing high note. Richard Armitage is a power house as Thorin as he descends into the gold sickness. Once again Freeman in his quiet way is Bilbo to perfection and Sir Ian , what can one say . His Gandalf is once again brilliant . Many quiet little moments and emotional elements . The battle scenes where amazing . Bravo Sir Peter , thank you for bringing Middle Earth to life one last time .

Peter Jackson delivers a brilliant conclusion to an underrated and under appreciated trilogy. He has transformed the source material into something truly epic that perfectly sets up his equally brilliant Lord Of The Rings trilogy. See it on the biggest screen possible, as the visuals are truely something to behold.
