The dark approach to the Snow White fairy tale is admirable and visually sumptuous, but it doesn't have enough substance to hold up to it's length. Charlize Theron is delicious as the psychotically evil Revenna and is the best thing about the film next to the cinematography. However, with the lack of any romance and long stretches that could have been edited down, Snow White and the Huntsman is ultimately a sporadically entertaining but mostly dreary, and at times dull, misfire.

A more epic sized adaptation of the Snow White tale. This is a visually rich and action packed rewrite. It carries an overall serious and darker tone. Despite this route, the film still gives a feeling of blandness. Average and forgettable.

Yes, Kristin Stewart did show more than just one emotion in this movie. However, the movie overall just wasn't as good as I thought it'd be, mostly due to the plot.

A delicious remix to the traditional fairy tale! Action-packed thrill ride with beautiful cinematography. Charlize Theron made EVIL look so F*in GOOD and Chris Hemsworth only upped the GORGEOUS quotient. ⋆⋆⋆⋆ ﭢ
