Ron Underwood pay homage to the classic western with a decidedly '90s sensibility in this comedy adventure..The cast is better than expected. Jack Palance's famed supporting role as the crusty ranchhand is a lot of fun. Billy Crystal is solid as the wisecracking protagonist but his costar Daniel Stern has some surprisingly good character work. The pacing is terribly uneven though. But its fish-out-of-water comedy beats are funny.

A film more well-known for Jack Palance's Oscar speech when he did push-ups than probably for anything actually in the film. This is a fairly typical early nineties comedy star vehicle. Billy Crystal gets to play with his friends and do Billy Crystal things. This is definitely not a bad thing, but it's not world-changing either. It has it's moments, Jack Palance steals every scene that he's in.

Billy Crystal decides to go to a dude ranch while experiencing a mid-life crisis and undergoes the usual lightly comic life lessons. Worth seeing for Jack Palance sending himself up as a grizzled old cowpoke.

The neurotic comedy and witty lines here are reminiscent of When Harry Met Sally. The premise isn't the most original, but the actors elevate the material with their comedic timing.

The only good scene in this entire movie is when they rescue the calf.

Crystal, Stern, and Kirby make a great team in this fun, funny show about midlife crisis and friendship.

True story: I watched the second half first and the first half second in the fifth grade. Basically it was alright.

A kinda cute, kinda funny take on the western. Palance is excellent as the grizzled veteran and Crystal, Stern and Kirby make for a pretty good comedy trio. It didn't break any molds, but its an enjoyable enough film.
