Some very real drama with some very human characters. The comedy is very understated and underplayed and the real star of the film is the believable and emotionally-charged performances, particularly from Annette Bening and Julianne Moore. Unique and brings up great themes about family and marriage.

A decent movie with a different view. This is something I haven't really seen before (the story) and I am sure it will become more common as time goes on. For me, this is a standard drama with a few comedic moments. I liked all of the performances and even the kids did a decent job acting. Nothing to complain about, but nothing to shout about.

A solid effort from all involved. An interesting family dynamic is shaken up with two kids track down their sperm donor father and invite him into their lives. Bening and Moore have pretty good chemistry and strong, believable characters as the mothers, though sometimes Moore is a little too spacey for me. The kids are okay, if not a little annoying from time to time playing your stereotypical teenagers, but overall, this is a pretty good movie and will be interesting to see if it grabs some of the awards it's nominated for.
