The story of drugs and love is one we never seem to get tired of. Or do we? This was far from being a bad film (it's hard for a film to be bad when Heath Ledger is in it because he's brilliant in everything he does). However, it's a story we all know so it was kind of predictable. It's redeeming quality is the fact that its so emotional. Even though you may see where it's heading, it's still hard to not care about these people. You are really rooting for these characters to get off the smack and get their lives together. After watching it you almost regret it. Again, not because its a bad movie, but as in life, who wants to watch two people destroy themselves?

A very good look at drug addiction and love. While the premise is similar to "Requiem For A Dream" (though not as good) it develops deeper characters and a longer relationship with drugs. It is a sad movie and its only down fall is the end.
