A good rival animated film to its counterpart "Shrek."

Puss in boots is a okay movie, the 3-D in this film but the film is funny in some places and that's good for me.

A rousing fantasy adventure. The action and humor are well balanced. I like how the story incorporates various fairy tale characters. The animation is also very striking and detailed. Entertaining for all ages.

I've enjoyed all of the Shrek films (yes, even 4) because of their inventive and tongue-in-cheek take on popular fairytale and legendary characters. This spinoff film is no different and the best parts are humor that contains a more "wink, wink" adult element that may go over the heads of children. Antonio Banderas' Puss in Boots character is essentially a caricature of Banderas himself and the film's "Desperado-esque" setting makes for a solid adventure film, with some great one-liners, and beautiful animation. It will never equal the fresh feeling of the first Shrek film, but as another enjoyable entry into the franchise, it succeeds.
