I actually liked this a lot. Much scarier than the first. A bit redundant at times, and way slower than the first, but the reason I liked it more was for the simple fact that I was on the edge of my seat near the end, which is the reason I watched it in the first place. I also thought it was well connected to the first film while being completely different story wise.

The story is about a family sets up security cameras when they begin to experience break-ins, but what they discover happening is far more dangerous than they could anticipate. This is the worst horror film of 2010 just a stupid movie with dull Moments.

The 2nd installment of the series was duller than the first one. It felt like a home video than a horror flick. Same tactics were used to move objects and the characters don’t seem fazed during its first shot of the ghost with the pool cleaner. Acting and editing was horrendous and the ending unsatisfying. Paranormal Activity 2 just reminded me of Blair Witch with special effects.

This movie was better than the first one. However it's still not very good. Perhaps I am getting jaded, but this just wasn't scary. But dumb as a bucket of rock I let the curiosity get the better of me and watched it anyway. The actors did a good job, but basicly it's the same movie with a bigger bugdet. You can predict where every scare is going to appear, rating this movie R is just silly. This is PG13 stuff, because only people who are allready afraid of the dark and belive in the supernatural will get scared by these " Real " incidents.

Not as scary as the original but I guess it was because I knew what to expect this time.Also it was exactly like the 1st except with more people.Still & just like the 1st, It's a movie I won't ever watch again.Once is enough for me

This brought absolutely nothing new to the franchise I shudder to call a franchise. The only reason the first one was so good was because it was a bit original, something you haven't seen at least since the blair witch. The one thing hollywood is really getting on my nerves with is the whole 'pretending it's real' crap. And I'm not just talking the filming style but the whole build up of lies about how it's a true story when you know it's not. I can't think of one redeeming thing about this movie, was not scary, was not interesting. What they don't tell you is 73% of this movie is about an automatic pool cleaner.. apparently.

A movie that's a prequel AND a sequel! Anyway, this follows the same formula as the original film, but on a larger scale, and budget. Cameras (security and hand-held) capture strange noises and shadows, mysterious fires and footsteps leading to a frightful conclusion. A third one is planned, I just hope it holds up better than the Saw franchise.

A creative setup helps PA2, as I wondered how they could continue the story. While it does take a little time to get going, there are some pretty good scares here. I'm not going to lie, I definitely didn't sleep too well after watching this movie. I think the last 30 minutes are pretty brave, and the ending wasn't what I expected. It's probably going to fall into one of those "if you liked the first one you'll like this, if you hated the first one you'll hate this" kind of movies. I really liked the first one and found this to be a worthy, if not scarier, follow-up.

The first one was just an okay movie, but I enjoyed it more than I did this one. Maybe because I didn't know what to expect, and with this one, I was waiting for stuff to be more freakier than in the first. I did however like how they incorporated the first one with this one, a prequel of sorts. The evening scenes had me looking at the entire screen, wondering what was gonna come from where. But after things happened, it was like "that's it?!" So I guess you can say I was sorta kinda disappointed, even though I didn't go in with the highest expectations. But you can only hear "scariest movie ever" and "even better than the first" so much before you start to think "well, maybe it will be"

New family, same demon. This prequel/sequel ties into the story of the first film and expands on it, while delivering more of those jolts. The mechanics are the same and do still work, but I felt like it stuck too close to the original's formula and the finale lost the tension that the film had spent so much time building up. Still, there are a few memorable scares.
