Before "Deadpool," this unconventional teen movie shook the superhero genre with its excessive violence and vulgarity.

Not your normal super-hero movie. But it's a good one. Every scene that Chloe Moretz is in is killer, she's a really good actress. The fight scenes are of the Matrix/Crouching Tiger type and are great. It does drag in places. Christopher Mintz-Plasse looked like he was sleepwalking through the film, waiting for the next Apatow phone call. Nicolas Cage, even though he basically played himself, he was good. I like Cage when he doesn't have to carry a film. Overall, a good action film, I could've done with more Hit-Girl and Big Daddy and less Kick-Ass, but it was entertaining and it wasn't like your typical super hero film.

The only parts of this movie I actually enjoyed watching were the scenes with Chloë Grace Moretz and Nicolas Cage. The rest of the characters were pretty forgettable.

So good! A great film. Unlike anything I've ever seen before. This comic book movie is wonderfully directed by Matthew Vaughn who can do no wrong. Chloe Moretz as Mindy/Hit Girl is unforgettable. Classic film!

Bottom line the praise belongs to hit girl for her witty comments and her insanely entertaining action sequences. She stole the show. Kick ass was lame how do you name yourself kick ass when your always on the fuzzy end of the ass kicking equation. Love every scene with hit girl. Shes the only reason id watch it again.

The movie started out good but actually started to get worse as the movie proceded. Once it got to about half way it got disapointing. The best part was all the killing that occured but after the scene where the dude almost got burned alive it got a tad better, they really should've cut some of the crap out of the movie and worked on a better storyline. But even though I was a little dissapointed, I was more happy than I was dissapointed. I would reccomend this movie to fans of action movies, superhero movies.

I rate this film 2 1/2 stars because there are flashes of the brilliance it could have been. Kick-Ass starts to approach true themes of super hero morality and then, abruptly, it abandons them for more nihilistic violence. It's certainly an entertaining film and, at times, very satirical and funny, but it could have been a much more fascinating thematic exploration. Matthew Vaughn is, of course, a master of style and the film definitely doesn't disappoint in the visual department.

My favorite type of hero movie are the ones when the hero has no real superpower. All they have it just a drive to make the world a better place. Kick-Ass is about four very different people who choose to become heroes even when all the odds are against them. Kick-Ass is a fun and bloody movie. It is a great hero movie and I can't wait for the sequel.
