Popular Sarah Matthews (Minka Kelly) is an innocent freshman getting ready to experience the dorms of college for the first time. She gets a roommate named Rebecca (Leighton Meester). Initially, the girls begin to bond despite Rebecca's penchant for being over-protective but then the reserved Rebecca becomes overly fixated with her. She becomes very jealous of Sarah's friend Tracy (Alyson Michalka) and her boyfriend Stephen (Cam Gigandet,) because she wants to be the only person that Sarah hangs out with. Blind to her roommate's glaring personality disorder, things go from weird to worse as her obsession for Sara grows and Rebecca tries to drive away anyone who could come between them.
