Eddie Murphy may not be 100% believable in what's ironically his most iconic role, but his dynamic comedic talent still gives "Beverly Hills Cop" a distinct edge that the more generic cop movies of the 80s lacked.

On the movie poster they said it is a edger, action, popcorn 80's movie,I did not get all of that watching the movie just a boring no-action 80's movie.

The entire series is some of Eddie Murphy's best work. Great 1980s Cop movie.

The "classic" Eddie Murphy is in top form in this action/comedy hybrid that spawned lesser sequels. This original is a great view and is purely 80s entertainment, and good entertainment at that. For those lamenting where Murphy is now, pop this in and remember the good times.

This is the perfect 80's comedy. It's brash, silly, action-filled, and quick on its feet.

A very funny movie with a very funny guy. Eddie Murphy is the unbeaten king of comedy, and he shows it right here in this movie. With his smart talk and fast lines, he makes it throught the whole adventure. And the people who are assigned to make it all even funnier are Judge Reinhold and John Ashton. Directed by Martin Brest, this movie breaks you jaws as you try to get up from the floor in your laugh attack!

My favorite Murphy movie. He's great as the wild-card cop, Axel Foley. Reinhold and Ashton provide great supporting roles as the local cops assigned to keep track of Foley.

This movie was great. A true action/comedy...and it was back when Eddie Murphy was still putting out quality work!
