A farcical romantic comedy that's surprisingly true, and finds humor and emotion in the unlikeliest of places.

Pretty much as much gay action as they can legally pack into one film and keep an R rating. Apparently the main character rights some outrageous wrong perpetrated by the Bush administration and is executed for it (and because he's gay). This movie just isn't good.

The story is about a happily-married police officer realizes he's gay and starts down a road of cons and frauds. Winding up in prison, he meets Philip Morris, and decides they're meant to be together. He then sets about creating this perfect life. Jim carry was great in this film so was Ewan McGregor.

Good film. It sort of drags a bit in the middle, but the first third and ending were both great. McGregor and Carrey both give really solid performances.

Carrey is back in a role that not only suits his comedic talents, but also expands them. This is a very entertaining and straight-up hilarious movie.

"I Love You Phillip Morris" is a comedy about a gay, Steve Russell (Jim Carrey) who admitted living a life full of lies until he found Phillip Moris (Ewan McGregor). This one is highly entertaining. Carrey and McGregor awesomely done it. Well directed of course. The story is smart and like what i have said, entertaining, but it isn't a movie that really marked anything. Just right. I'll be generous enough to give it a 3 out of 4 stars. :)

A very strong performance from Jim Carrey tells this story of the real-life Steven Russell, who finds his true love, Phillip Morris, after a series of cons lands him in prison. Desperate to stay with his love, Russell then commits more crimes left and right to try and create a perfect life together. The story feels rushed at times, and sometimes the direction makes some choices for comedic efforts (which a lot of the time fall flat) but this is worth viewing for Carrey's good performance.

An unbelievably true story is anchored by Jim Carrey's believable and energetic performance. I understand that the film bounces all over the place at times - both plot-wise and character-wise, but I think the "is this for real?" feeling actually relates very well to the man the film is based on.

I saw a way-advance screening for this film. It's Jim Carrey and Ewan McGregor at their gayest. The movie is okay. But if all the characters were straight, what would the big deal be? Okay so in addition to being in love, they're scam artists. It's based on a true story. But I'm just glad I didn't have to pay to see this train wreck. I hear they're having a really hard time marketing this film. Who would want to see it? You tell me.
