Whoopi Goldberg and Dianne Wiest make a likable pair, but "The Associate" is slightly flimsy.

I'm not big into comedies, don't get me wrong I like them they just aren't my first choice of movie. However I do like a lot of Whoopi's comedies and The Associate is one of my favs. I'd recommend this to any Whoopi fan.
