This is a film with a ludicrous plot, questionable casting and some of the most over-the-top FX choices of Michael Bay's career -- and yet, despite the horrible acting choices, the schmaltzy production values and the most laughable romantic interlude in screen history (two words: animal crackers), Armageddon remains undeniably watchable.

The movie is actually one of the worst things I've seen in my life. It sucks at continuity, sucks at technical facts, it's full of plotholes, it has cheese acting, cheese music, I mean... it smells like cheese. But... it's a fun cheese! Only for meaningless and empty entertainment kind of films viewers. My guilty pleasure.

A great soundtrack, great cast, and a decent plot all make this one hell of a ride. Willis does one of his better jobs acting as he is in one of his badass roles. The love story and family values give it extra spunk. See it on date night.

A step above most "end-of-the-world" movies because of a good cast, great action and a coherent, if not still implausible, plot. It's a fun ride and one I don't mind taking every now and then.

Good if you like "End of the World" movies. Still one of the one films that makes me cry every time I see it. Lots of good action to balance it out.
