Premise good, execution bad

If this is the best of the three I'm glad I didn't see the other two. This was an average movie at best. Horribly directed. For example the fight scenes weren't sequences, they were : do one action, change the camera, do another action, change the camera. etc. There was seeminlgly no chemistry between the two protaganists and the main worry of the story was if he got more than 75 feet from the car he'd blow up. 75 feet isn't very far and there were definitely times when he's .. ahem chasing down a car on a peddle bike.. that he got furher away than that. The stunt sequences throw physics out the window. I don't mind outlandish stunts. In fact in movies like Casino Royale and the parkour chase they can be amazing. The only good thing about this movie is the main villain. Even then though …

Worth seeing.. on a rainy day.

Transporter 3.
An action movie anticipated from many many fans, including myself.
I decided it was worth going to 'the big screen' for it so I took a friend and persuaded her into watching an action for once in her life. And then later on, I felt like I betrayed her.

Transporter 3 didn't offer anything new. At least not in the good way.

While in previous movies, Frank Martin, has some damn good common sense, in this movie he falls victim of .. yes, you guessed it, 'love'. I wasn't impressed in the least when half way through the movie, our dear Frank bumps uglies with Valentina, a girl he knows absolutely nothing about except that she's wearing a short sparkly dress and that she likes eating. A lot. She also likes to get stoned, drunk and then pee in public.
Aside from being …

Transport me out of here!

If seeing "Transporter 3" did not go a long way toward mending fences with the dear friend from whom I've become somewhat estranged, then there is nothing else I can do.

First of all, this is not the kind of movie I normally see, particularly when there are so many other movies showing (especially this time of year). The action genre is my least favorite. And when you start adding numbers to the ends of their titles, I usually don't go near them. What's more, I never saw Transporter 1 or 2; what if I'm lost with the story?!? (Ha, ha.)

I suppose I can admit that this one has some exciting scenes, but they angered me by appearing right when I was about to doze. It's probably not healthy, but everything about this movie and my experience of seeing it angers me. Why, oh why, I …

Better than Quantum

It is always an adrenalin rush when you're seeing a Transporter movie and surprisingly enough it's still is. Though they pumped down the action sequences to half I still enjoyed it. While viewers would expect it to be a no brain type of macho movie it entirely does the opposite. Now the main course is a better story and the dessert is the action stuff which is a good thing. Because I for one would like a more story driven movie instead of a beating up the bad guys type without the much needed substance. As I’ve said they mellowed down the fight scenes but we all know Frank never loses his touch when he starts bringing the pain. You can still feel that same rush you’ve felt during the first movie that’s why for me this sequel worked. Although I really think they should’ve picked …

A giant, steaming, pile of crap

Josh C - wrote on 11/28/2008

Transporter is dead to me. The things that I loved about the first one are not in transporter 3 at all. There was not enough action, long drawn out dull parts, a terrible soundtrack and one of the main characters was so annoying I almost left the theatre.

It was easily the worst movie I have seen this year. What I don't get is how they screwed it up this badly. If director Oliver Megaton had watched the first two he would have noticed that there was lots of action. No one really cares about the plot in these movies. Give us action and your fans will be happy enough. The second one was way over the top as far as realistic action, but still it was enjoyable to watch. This one is just a giant turd.

About half way through the movie, right after Jason Statham was getting ready to do a …

This Series Is Out Of Gas

Jason Statham is back for a third outing as the stoic, yet sharply attired Frank Martin; a man passionate about his car and wanted for his impressive driving skills. Louis Leterrier, who guided the first two Transporter films, does not return as director this time out as Olivier Megaton takes over that position (yeah, I’ve never heard of him either). Luc Besson is still aboard as producer however (has been for all three installments), and the overall ‘flavor’ of this franchise remains little unchanged. Also returning is Francois Berleand, Frank’s police inspector pal, who gets to play a more active role in T3 and is a joy to watch as he deadpans through most of his scenes. While initially the plot sounds intriguing (Frank & his ‘package’ cannot wander more than 75’ from …
