Sometimes the cartoon version is so much better than the film. It tries to emulate but in terms of plot/character build-up, it just falters. A waste of female talents who can really act, Frances McDormand and Charlize Theron. The posh architectures/setting, fancy wardrobe and action are not enough to save this science fiction flick. So many things wrong could have been improved upon. If your in the mood to watch a Lara Croft of the future, then this is for you.

I'm not ashamed to admit to watching this. I was pleasantly surprised by the message at the end. Sweet use of preexisting architecture-Let's go see Berlin!

Poorly executed and clumsy, this science fiction film boasts painful dialogue and action sequences. There are some sharp visuals that are about the only thing the film ha going for it. Midway-through, I stopped caring about the characters or the pointless plot.

Aeon Flux is a highly disappointing film in every department. With terrible direction, a terrible screenplay and atrocious acting. Charlize Theron is the best thing in this film, but that's not saying much. Francis Mcdormands character is embarrassingly bad. The Story is stupid and the 'wrap you legs around the bad guy's head and break his neck' type of action has gotten old fast. There is nothing appealing about this movie, nothing at all. pure garbage. This is one of 2005's worst movies.

Obtuse, clumsy nonsense with awkward fight sequences, no character development and vacant performances; it tries to dazzle the eye with speed and flash to distract your brain from answering the questions it can't answer: how can a couple of people clone over 5 million people? Who is The Handler? Where did she come from? Where is she now? Who trained all these assassins? and why did it take them so long to get to the chairman? Who thought this was a good idea for a movie? Final Grade: D-

Having seen the mind-bending original cartoons back in the days of Liquid Television, I had high hopes for the live action Aeon Flux. Despite some great casting and lavish sets - the movie falls flat for me.

This movie is a lot of fun to watch. The special effects and action sequences are done really well and Charlize Theron in leather? damn.
