While the cast is nearly identical to the original cast, the film is not as satisfying. IT's just macabre enough to be passable.

Despite bouts of dullness during the second act, 'The Addams Family' is for the most part a witty and macabre fun house with some beautifully timed one-liners and excellent performances. The photography by Owen Roizman (easily one of my favourite cinematographers) is suitably dreary.

From what I can remember, it was an average movie. The best parts of it was with Christina Ricci's character. She was funny.

Another 90's movie based on an older t.v. series. This one is actually okay. It's mostly faithful, but doesn't offer much new.

The production design and Tim Burton-esque decor is superb, but the macabre humor from the television series soon dissolves into slapstick humor and corny puns. Great to look at, but not as smart as it could be.

"The Addams Family" was absolutely, relentlessly morbid and dark. Not good by cinematic standards, but another one of those fun movies that you watch just because that's the only thing on. I enjoy Raul Julia and Anjelica Huston, and just the entire thing was plain, adulterated fun....yeah...adulterated.

I liked Addams Family Values better than the original and saw Values first. This was a terribly disappointing movie, but whatever.

A pretty good adaption of the TV show mainly due to the fantastic cast. Especially good are Christopher Lloyd, Raul Julia and Christina Ricci. The plot is a little loopy, but that's to be expected.
