There are way too many plots here to make any of them appear relevant. Police currption can be interesting and so can the portrayls of dirty cops when done correctly (i.e. The Departed). Here however there is really nothing but a mish-mash of bad people with personal agendas that are not interesting. As always there is that one lone savior- who also as always is Keanu Reeves.

David Ayers latest foray into the cop movie is a successful but small step backwards from the awesome Harsh Times. Given the right role Keanu Reeves can pull it off with relative ease and is not in anyway a distraction here despite it being the general negative people have going into this film. While it certainly doesn't break any new ground not all movies have to. It had me interested from the beginning with the awesome take no nonsense busting heads characters. The outcome is a predictable one, but since its not played like a big mystery all hinging on some big reveal it's not a problem. If you need a better look into the dirty cop window watch The Shield.

I'm not a big fan of Keanu Reeves but decided to give this one a shot. Although it was very predictable, I enjoyed it and actually thought Reeves was pretty good.
