Seals the deal on Shyamalan and the fact that he's bought into his own bullshit with two piles a row. You can recreate this movie yourself by going outside and running away from the wind for an hour and a half while looking perturbed. With previous films like The Sixth Sense you'd think creating tension wouldn't pose a problem but there is none here with the exception of the last 15 minutes. You could say the actors don't help much but seeing what they have to work with no one could. Zooey Deschanel is completely wasted and is just there to cash that check. Revealing your hand in the first 10 minutes of the movie defeats the whole purpose of a thriller/horror, I'm not suggesting there needs to be a twist but some plot progression towards a conclusion would be nice.
