Probably one of the best date flicks or A story that revolves around various personalities on New Year's Eve of 1981. Monica (Plimpton) is throwing a party in which she fears nobody will come, Kevin (Rudd) and Lucy (Love) are having sexual conflicts, Cindy (Hudson) becomes friends with a guy who has the capacity to let girls fall in love with named Jack (Mohr) and a vocal cab driver named cab driver (Chappelle) is outspoken on a lot of things. Way better than New Year's Eve with regard to characterizations (though this lacks character development to make it more enticing) and direction.
