It's smart and fast paced, but lacks suspense. Never boring, yet not as involving as Hitchcock's usual work. I still enjoy this mostly for Peter Lorre's performance.

Film's starts to get interesting when Bob and Jill’s child Betty was abducted. Abbott (Peter Lorre) is the perpetrator and has plans of killing an Ambassador. The first half of the film was slow, with lack of better character development. Its pace picks up when Mr. Lawrence reunites with his kidnapped daughter. Has a decent score and earnest performances. Not enough depth from the antagonists nor thrilling scenes to keep it exciting, The Man Who Knew Too Much had a good premise, it only manages to entertain in the latter portion while the plot seems to go in different directions at times.

I recently saw this movie the only way I could get it - with narration for the blind. I really didn't need to hear Peter Lorre described as the short man but oh well.
