It's by no means ever as shocking to a modern audience as Bruce's material must have been to contemporary crowds, but this refreshingly unsentimental and well-acted look at the legendary comic's career is sufficiently revealing.

A semi interesting biopic that starts of well enough and uses an interesting way to tell its story but the last 3rd is the same thing over and over again. Lenny says bad word gets in trouble over and over again, that is simply not dramatically compelling. The overall movie is not really great by any means but the acting is good and it is shot well. Lenny Bruce may interest some more than other and I was not interested by him that much but other people could easily be.
